سليمان في ذكرى الحرب الأهلية: لا يجب أن يدفع الوطن ثمن صراع الآخرين مرة جديدة

رأى رئيس الجمهورية ميشال سليمان ان وضع المصلحة الوطنية فوق كل اعتبار هو النقطة المشتركة التي يجب ان يلتقي حولها المسؤولون والقيادات.
ودعا سليمان في الذكرى الثامنة والثلاثين للحرب الأهلية "الى اخذ العبر مما حصل عندنا والتبصر في ما يحصل حولنا على مستوى المنطقة لادراك الحاجة الملحة الى التعاون بين الجميع وتقديم التضحيات كي يبقى لبنان في منأى عن ارتدادات ما يحصل في جواره".
وشدد على ضرورة أن "ينعم اللبنانيون بالاستقرار والازدهار فلا يدفع وطننا مرة جديدة ثمن صراع الاخرين ليس على ارضه بل على ارضهم ايضا".
ولفت سليمان "الى اهمية انجاز الاستحقاقات الحكومية والانتخابية في مواعيدها بما يبقي للبنان صورته ومكانته كدولة ديموقراطية تحظى باحترام المجتمع الدولي".
واندلعت الحرب الأهلية اللبنانية في 13 نيسان 1975 واستمرت حتى تشرين الأول 1990 حيث أسفرت عن سقوط 120000 قتيلاً.

This is the problem with some people (I like to call them useful idiots but do not want to misuse free media). Even when you are swimming in the shores of truth and precious knowledge which does not exist anymore, you still don't want to see the facts. Men like Berri and Hassan were, are now and will in the future be classified with the others you mention. How can you not see that Hassan brought possibly the worse national enemy in our Country. These filthy Persians care nothing except their own pockets. You think they care re. the Palestinians or Lebanese lives and/or property when they played Hassan to engage the Israelis in the so called war in 2006? All that destruction and loss of lives for what?

Do you think it may have something to do with distracting the interested parties in favor of Iran's ultimate goal/interest which is to rule supreme over the strait of Hormuz and basically saying "you Arabs are peons in my backyard"? So, you want to aline yourself based on religious nexus and betray your nationality like the other camp did with the Saudis, etc.?

I second (or third) the remark about warlords, and note the example given of warlord public service by bubba.
Suleiman is in effect asking the Shia majority, who are treated as slaves, non-persons, under the Taef Accord/National Pact, to sacrifice themselves so everybody else can have a normal life.

You seem to have a Shiite chip on your shoulder similar to that of black people in USA. Common, I know lots of Shiites (and they are friends of mine) who are proud of who they are and what they have accomplished. Only one treating Shiites as slaves now (if not brain washed slaves) is Hezb who is willing to sacrifice them and all Lebanese for an Iranian agenda. Please snap out of that mode and join hands in making Lebanon a true democracy for all.
