بري يرجىء الجلسة العامة للمرة الرابعة لعدم توفر النصاب

"أرجأ رئيس مجلس النواب نبيه بري الجلسة التشريعية الى 23 الجاري لعدم توفر النصاب"، بحسب ما أفادت معلزمات صحافية
وفي هذا السياق، اشارت الـMTV، الثلاثاء، الى أن "بري لم يحضر الى الجلسة التشريعية في ساحة النجمة ما يجعلها في حكم المرجأة"، مردفة أنه "تم إرجاء الجلسة التشريعية العامة للمرة الرابعة لعدم اكتمال النصاب".
كذلك، افادت الـLBCI أنه تم "إرجاء الجلسة التشريعية الى 23 أيلول وبنفس جدول الأعمال".
ذكر، أن بري أرجأ مطلع تموز، الجلسة العامة الى 16-17-18 منه ومن ثم الى 29 و30 و31 تموز. كذلك أرجأ جلسة الآخر من تموز الى 20 و21 آب لعدم اكتمال النصاب، وذلك بعد مقاطعة قوى 14 آذار وميقاتي، مطالبين بحصر جدول الاعمال ببند التمديد لقائد الجيش العماد جان قهوجي (الذي تنتهي ولايته في ايلول المقبل لبلوغه السن القانونية للتقاعد)، وقاطعها تكتل "التعيير والاصلاح" رفضاً للتمديد. في حين أن تكتل "التغيير والاصلاح" أعلن مقاطعة الجلسة رفضاً للتمديد لقهوجي".
وكان بري قد أكد في أحاديث صحافية أنه لن يغير "حرفاً واحداً" في جدول أعمال الجلسة، مردفاً أن مجلس النواب "سيد نفسه".
ولكن، يذكر أن وزير الدفاع الوطني في حكومة تصريف الأعمال فايز غصن وقع في الأول من آب قرار تأجيل تسريح قائد الجيش العماد جان قهوجي ورئيس الأركان اللواء وليد سلمان لمدة سنتين.

yay, that sounds like a LOT of work for the MPs!! maybe they should reduce the scope of work to make sure they wont be drowned

Lebanon won't transcend these harsh conditions unless the constitution is amended and revise, which won't happen anytime soon.
Lebanon's political and legal structure is akin to something being held together with some duck tape and some sticks in hopes of it staying together long enough until some undefined time in the future when the colonials perhaps had something in mind. It has staying together longer than any would have imagined, but the constitution underlying the state and everything else requires much needed repairs.

I am visiting Lebanon now. I just mentioned to a friend that I pray no explosions will occur while visiting. He replied and I quote" don't pray just get yourself an armored car".

A new political system is needed it's unfair for one sect that represents 40% of the Lebanese population is represented at less than 25% with no executive powers and a religious group with all it's sects and denominations representing less than 35% of the Lebanese population holds 50% of the powers including the top office.

Don't worry, the heading will soon read not "Postponed for Fourth Time" but "Postponed for the fourteenth - or fortieth - time". Mr. Berri has no intention whatsoever of convening the Parliament, and the quicker you all wake up and understand that, the better. 17 months, followed by another 17 months will pass very quickly.
