زيارة مرتقبة لمسؤول أميركي ترسم الأطر النهائية للتعاطي مع لبنان

علمت وكالة الأنباء "المركزية" أن مسؤولا في الادارة الاميركية سيزور بيروت الاسبوع المقبل لإجراء محادثات مع عدد من المسؤولين اللبنانيين في مقدمهم رئيس الجمهورية العماد ميشال سليمان ورئيس الحكومة نجيب ميقاتي.
وتأتي الزيارة، التي رجحت مصادر مطلعة ان تكون لمساعد وزيرة الخارجية الاميركية لشؤون الشرق الادنى جيفري فيلتمان، في أعقاب نيل الحكومة الثقة من المجلس النيابي لاستشراف ملامح المرحلة والتعاطي الحكومي مع الاستحقاقات اللبنانية المتصلة بالخارج ولا سيما القرارات الدولية والمحكمة الخاصة بلبنان في ضوء التباين بين المواقف المعلنة ومضمون البيان الوزاري.
واشارت المصادر للوكالة عينها إلى أن الزيارة الأميركية تتسم بأهمية خاصة من زاوية تحديد موقف الغرب من حكومة لبنان، بعدما ربطت اكثر من دولة اوروبية واميركية مسار تعاطيها نسبة الى مضمون البيان الوزاري.
ويتوقع ان تترتب على الزيارة، حسب المصادر، ولا سيما اللقاء مع رئيس الحكومة، نتائج مهمة من شأنه رسم الاطر النهائية للتعاطي الاميركي مع لبنان، خصوصا ان الولايات المتحدة تنتظر توضيحاً وتطمينات وضمانات حكومية لبنانية لاستكمال شريط المساعدات العسكرية للجيش اللبناني.
وكان نواب في الكونغرس الاميركي وجها الى الرئيس الأميركي باراك اوباما اثر تشكيل الحكومة رسالة دعت الى وقف الدعم العسكري والمساعدات اللوجستية المقدمة للبنان، الا ان ادارة اوباما لم تأخذ بها باعتبار ان لا صلة للديناميات السياسية المتحولة في لبنان بمؤسسة الجيش الواجب تعزيز قدراتها لترسيخ الاستقرار في لبنان.
وفي اطار مواز، تردد ان وفدا عسكريا رفيع المستوى برئاسة قائد الجيش العماد جان قهوجي سيزور في ايلول المقبل واشنطن لبحث اطر المساعدات وتأكيد التزامات لبنان، بعدما تعذرت الزيارة راهنا في ظل شغور منصب رئيس الاركان بعد احالة اللواء شوقي المصري الى التقاعد.
