Suleiman Contacts Hollande, Urges Lebanese Diligence to Combat Terrorism

President Michel Suleiman contacted on Tuesday French President Francois Hollande to stress Lebanon's commitment to fighting terrorism, most notably in light of Tuesday's blast in the Bekaa region of Baalbek, reported the National News Agency.
Suleiman urged the Lebanese people “to exercise diligence against the repeated attempts to spread violence and terrorism to Lebanon.”
He stressed the need to strongly continue the fight against terrorism and support the security and military agencies, especially the army in order to enable it to pursue the assailants behind the terrorist attacks.
Suleiman contacted Hollande at the end of his trip to Paris.
The president had traveled to France on Sunday to follow up on medical treatment on his left eyelid.
Several people were injured at dawn Tuesday in a car bombing that targeted Hizbullah in its stronghold in the eastern district of Baalbek.
NNA said the vehicle was on the road between the towns of Sbouba and Wadi Abu Moussa that lead to Hrabta when a Hizbullah checkpoint opened fire on it.
The driver then detonated an estimated 50 kilograms of explosives, the agency said.

Dude, Mr President, the terrorists are part of the governement, how do you suggest we fight them? Remember that even Hollande labelled HA as a terrorist Organisation earlier this year.

35 countries now label HA as a terrorist organisation. It's more likely to grow soon when the GCC countries add them to their list.

It's amazing you know the last time any true leader (president or prime minister) in this country spoke their minds and tried to do good they got blown up this president tries to tread carefully as he knows the consequences of anything he says or does are terminal and isn't that a sad outcome for us.
