A clash erupted Friday between an armed group and a number of residents in the al-Nabaa area in Northern Metn, prompting the intervention of security forces.

“A person was injured as a dispute between an armed group belonging to the Fakhreddine family and residents of al-Nabaa-Sin el-Fil erupted into shooting in the air,” state-run National News Agency reported.

“The incident took a sectarian turn and security forces are trying to contain the situation,” NNA added.

It later reported that army troops had managed to contain the clash and arrest the shooters.

Meanwhile, MTV reported that two people were wounded in the incident.

Clashes and security violations are common in al-Nabaa, which is confessionally and politically mixed.

I am very pessimist these days. Siria, iraq, maybe lebanon, we are going to a stupid 30 years of secterian and religion war in the middle east. I thing we should search for solutions instead of being part of it. Guys, for one day, try to propose solutions.
