"Judge Sawan issued three arrest warrants against Lebanese nationals on charges of belonging to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant and Al-Nusra Front,” the state-run National News Agency reported.
The NNA said the three charged people planned through their involvement with ISIL and Al-Nusra to execute terrorist operations throughout Lebanon.
If convicted, the suspects could face death penalty, remarked the same source.
Lebanon has become the scene of several deadly bombings since the eruption of the Syrian civil war, many of which have targeted Hizbullah strongholds in the Bekaa and in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
The blasts, which took the lives of dozens of civilians and troops, were claimed by extremist groups that are opposed to Hizbullah's involvement in Syria's war alongside President Bashar Assad's forces.
Armed men usually infiltrate Lebanon from neighboring Syria through the country's northern and Bekaa border.
