Geagea Denies Suffering Heart Attack, Reiterates Rejection of Parliament Term Extension

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea denied on Wednesday that he had suffered a heart attack as some media outlets suggested.
"I reassure everyone that I am in good health and doing my work as usual at the LF headquarters in Maarab,” Geagea told MTV in the afternoon.
"I don't know the reason for making up this rumor,” he said, adding that the issue does not deserve filing a complaint to identify who was behind it “amid the tragic events in the region, particularly in Iraq, Syria and the Gaza Strip.”
Separately, the LF chief hailed the cabinet's decision of calling on electoral committees to prepare for parliamentary polls, noting that he understands the “concerns” of some parties seeking to extend the parliament's tenure.
The cabinet approved on Tuesday a decree calling on electoral committees to begin preparing for the parliamentary elections, a decision which implicitly determines the date of the anticipated polls despite the expiration of the constitutional deadline.
Geagea has repeatedly expressed his rejection of extending the parliament's term for the second time, favoring holding the vote on time instead.
The Free Patriotic Movement, the LF, AMAL Movement and the Kataeb party have all announced their rejection of parliament term extension.
Meanwhile, al-Mustaqbal Movement and the Progressive Socialist Party voiced support for this option.
Hizbullah, however, has yet to announce its stance on this matter.

when extremists return the favor to hizbushaitan (for going into Syria to fight them) it does not concern us, Lebanese.
they are both (ISIS and hizbushaitan, 2 faces of the same coin: they are both extremists.
so if they want to kill each other, then they are welcome to do so as much as they both want.
our army should defend hizbushaitan, they should stay on the side and let these extremists kill each other.
one extremist group is financed by Qatar and the other by iran: nothing to do with us.
