Geagea Returns from Saudi after Talks with Hariri, Top Officials

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea returned to Beirut on Wednesday evening after a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia.

Geagea's visit involved meetings with the kingdom's top officials, according to his press office.

He also met with al-Mustaqbal Movement leader MP Saad Hariri and they “thoroughly discussed all the issues on the Lebanese and regional scenes.”

According to media reports, Kataeb Party MP Sami Gemayel accompanied Geagea on the same plane to Saudi Arabia on Monday.

Kataeb announced Tuesday that Gemayel had held talks with Hariri and a number of Saudi officials. It is still unclear whether or not Geagea and Gemayel held a tripartite meeting with Hariri.

Media reports said Saudi Arabia wanted to convince the two Christian leaders to accept a second extension of the parliament's term.

Lebanon's political scene has reached an impasse over differences between the March 8 and 14 alliances.

The country has been without a president since the term of Michel Suleiman ended in May as the rival parties have failed so far to agree on a compromise candidate, which is also threatening to torpedo the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The crises are threatening further vacuum at Lebanese institutions, which could also impact the cabinet.

They are not gay...they are happy.
More seriously, I hope they agreed on Samy. Because Amine is incompetent and Geagea out of the race.

I also do not want an extension of this parliament which contains too many corrupt people (including FPM)
BUT, if no extension AND no elections then we reach the dismantling of the most important Lebanese Institution. The caporal is working towards this objective to obey to his MASTERS....he is the traitor executing the dirty job....the outcomes will be detrimental to the Christians.

More like "The country has been without a president since the term of Michel Suleiman ended in May as Michel Aoun is leading the March 8 boycott of Parliament, while Flamethrower claims Samir Geagea is 'paralysing the presidency' with his candidacy."

Hakim?? Does that mean Dr. When did he graduate from medical school, and where did he practice medicine? Amazing he did not come back from Saudi wearing a head gear?
A self proclaimed Lebanese hero talking orders from Bedouins? Shame
