The army intelligence detained Thursday four Syrian nationals over links with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), the state-run National News Agency reported.

According to NNA, two ISIL suspects were arrested in the village of Talia in the Bekaa.

Troops confiscated from their possession military equipment and al-Qaida-affiliate al-Nusra Front slogans.

The apprehended suspects were identified as Jomaa Ahmed al-Mustafa and his brother Aziz.

A third suspect and his wife, who managed to flee the area taking with them identity papers, were arrested later in the day at an army checkpoint in the Bekaa town of Ferzol.

They hail from Syria's Raqqa and confessed to belonging to the terrorist group.

On Wednesday, the army arrested nine Syrians on suspicion of their links to terrorist groups.

Several suspected jihadist members have been arrested in recent months throughout Lebanon.

I believe that our beloved army has now detained quite a good number of ISIS members. I would rather keep them safe and use them as prime bargaining chips for the release of our servicemen held by these evil sods. Even if we hear that one of our boys got slapped, we should return the gestures with 50 slaps on their cowards. Soon we could get our people released.

the ones using torture and executing people are the ones you defend. i'm only underlining your hypocrisy: when they do it you find excuses for them, and whenever someone says they deserve being treated like they treat others you invoke civility and human rights. buzz off ya scum
