Israeli Troops Nab Cattle after Failing to Abduct Shebaa Shepherds
Israeli troops stole a herd of cattle Sunday after failing to abduct a number of shepherds in the outskirts of the southern town of Shebaa inside Lebanese territory, state-run National News Agency reported.
“An Israeli infantry force crossed the border this afternoon in the Jabal al-Zalqa area in the outskirts of the town of Shebaa, where it tried to kidnap a number of shepherds who eventually managed to escape,” NNA said.
After their botched attempt, the soldiers nabbed a herd of cattle and took it to the occupied Shebaa Farms, the agency added.
Al-Manar television identified the shepherds as Mohammed Hashem, Youssef Zahra and Khodr Nabaa.
On June 1, a Lebanese shepherd escaped an abduction attempt by Israeli troops in a nearby area.
In April, Israeli troops made an incursion into Lebanese territory in a bid to abduct a shepherd but the attempt was foiled by the Lebanese man's dog.
Israeli forces had abducted several Lebanese shepherds in recent years. They were all released after interrogation.

Bassil indicated he would file a complaint to the United Nations as a result of this intolerable aggression.
I honestly don't know what's happening between our shepherds, our fishermen, our livestock, our fish and our Syrian and Israeli neighbors.
When they occupied Beirut they stole lots of luxury and expensive itmes and some equipment from the airport. The trade mark of a Jew is "free vinegar is tastier than good wine" - I know it is stereotyping, but events are proving the point.
Chopper an occupant is an occupant, the Israeli or the Syrian, they are all the same. Then Daech is doing the very same thing in the territories they occupy, they post videos of them destroying artifacts and other historical treasures when in fact they are secretly dismantling them and selling them in the black market.
GP, maybe our Sheep are doing a batter job at protecting our border than the resistance, don't you think?
