Lebanese Officials in Libya to Uncover al-Sadr’s Fate

A Lebanese delegation headed to Libya on Sunday to meet with National Transitional Council officials to unveil the fate of missing Imam Moussa al-Sadr, the National News Agency reported.
The delegation includes Director-General of the Ministry of the Displaced Haitham Joumaa and Judge Hassan Shami. It is expected to discuss the latest investigations undertaken by the NTC to unveil al-Sadr’s fate.
“This issue is essential for Lebanon and we will make the necessary contacts about it in Libya after the fall of the Gadhafi regime,” NNA quoted Joumaa as saying.
In 1978, al-Sadr and his companions flew to Tripoli for a week of talks with Libyan officials. They were never seen or heard from again. The day he was last seen, on Aug. 31, 1978, is still marked annually in Lebanon.
At the time, Moammar Gadhafi’s regime insisted al-Sadr and his aides left on a flight to Rome at the end of their visit and suggested the imam fell victim to an inter-Shiite power struggle.

Rami66 i hope ur kidding cuz no one can be so ignorant. Mousa al sadr is from the notorious iranian family that were sent to lebanon and iraq by iran to empower the chiites. This man is syrias man in lebanon. He did everthing the syrian regime told him and he is behind the creation of the chiite-alawite alliance as he is the one who declared them in a fatwa to be muslim, something that muslims dont agree with. How can you claim he never killed lebanese? I dont know what he did with his own hands but beeing part of the filthy amal and beeing part of the syrian regime surely makes one a murderer as both of them murdered left and right.
