Assailants Torch Parts of School in Baalbek
Unidentified attackers on Sunday set fire to parts of a school in the Baalbek district, state-run National News Agency reported.
“The assailants set the first and second floors ablaze after breaking their way into the Modern School in Baalbek's Ras al-Ain,” NNA said.
It did not elaborate on the attackers' motives.
According to al-Jadeed TV, the first floor contains administration offices and an auditorium while the second floor also contains an administration bureau.
“Residents managed to bring the blaze under control on the second floor,” the TV network said.
“Security forces and investigators arrived on the scene and launched a probe,” it added.

Army Intelligence has just confirmed the arrest of the 2 assailants involved in torching the school in the Baalbek district. The source revealed to VDL that Jaafar Meqdad and Mousa Mousawi set fire to the school in retaliation for the school's decision to ban them from selling drugs on the school premises. The 2 assailants confessed without further delay to their crime and to belonging to Hezbollah, the internationally known global terror group. The assailants revealed startling information implicating the terror party's leader in the operation who seems to have personally instructed them to commit this horrid act.
Hezbollah is a known terror organization with links to organized crime, drug and human trafficking, and money laundering.
