Syria Reminds Ban about Ghosn’s Remarks on al-Qaida

The Syrian mission at the U.N. delivered a letter to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the “terrorist bombings” in Damascus in which it included statements made by Lebanese Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn on al-Qaida.
An Nahar daily said Saturday that the Lebanese foreign ministry was informed about the letter by Lebanon’s permanent mission to the U.N.
The letter explained to Ban about the twin bombings that targeted two security service bases in Damascus last week, killing 44 people and injuring 166 others, An Nahar said.
The letter also described the blasts as “terrorist attacks,” it added.
The Syrian regime has blamed al-Qaida but the opposition Syrian National Council said the blasts were the work of the regime itself.
Ghosn said in statements last week that al-Qaida members had infiltrated Syria from the Lebanese border town of Arsal.
The remarks drew controversy in Lebanon with Premier Najib Miqati and Interior Minister Marwan Charbel denying the presence of al-Qaida in Lebanon.

The Syrians are so pissed at Syrian apologist defense minister Ghosn because he misread the report the Syrian misinformation department gave him to read when he mistakenly stated the al-Qaeda is infiltrating FROM Syrian into Lebanon when they'd told him to say they infiltrated Syrian from Lebanon, now they are hoping that no one noticed and continuing the charade.
But thank God for the member of Zionist spy infested bee2a hadina jabalminelhabal he confirmed ti us yesterday on this very forum that al-Qaeda could not be based in Lebanon because of yada yada yada.

If jabalamel and peace are correct we're beginning to see cooperation between the Arab states and Israel. While at this stage it's coordination on media messaging, it forbodes well for increasing the dialogue to cover topics necessary to bring peace to the region. Hope their comments are based on facts rather then hyperbole.
