Miqati’s Sources: Aoun Seeking to Impose his Will because of Hizbullah’s Support

Sources close to Premier Najib Miqati have criticized Free Patriotic Movement leader Michel Aoun for seeking to impose his demands on the cabinet with the backing of Hizbullah.

Aoun “considers himself the essential Maronite partner if not the only one,” the sources told pan-Arab daily al-Hayat on Monday.

“He got used to Hizbullah going along with him in everything,” they said, stressing that Aoun is seeking to impose his will on the government and the rest of the political parties in it because he is taking advantage of the Shiite party’s backing to his decisions.

The sources accused Aoun and his ministers of behaving as if the Taef agreement is inexistent.

They also accused the FPM chief and his allies of seeking to impose reform the way they see it.

Aoun is suffering from inferiority complex

sorry to disappoint you but that is a extremely wrong analysis, go deep, think, review the history and then you will understand. Aoun can not and will not become a president due to various political considerations.

And Mikati doesnt behaive as he was the only Sunny leader ? Mikati is just a civil servant without any backing. Aoun has 10 Ministers and 40 MP's. Who is more important?

@rudy: "Aoun is in power, he is the Christian leader whether you like it or not and he is dictating Lebanese politics at the moment...."

are the words "dictating" and "dictator" related in anyway in your thick mind? Same mentality as your lunatic idol....

rudy: you find that lebanon is going towards something good?
look at the soaring prices in every field: no government control letting people do what they want without justification.
they are letting beirut becoming a huge concrete city: promoters build wherever they want, without even respecting the environment: no government contrl either.
what measures are they proposing to reform public services to control the corruption at all levels? none...
syria can enter and do whatever they want like in the old days: the government doesn t say a word.
people are having their business bombed because they want to sell alcohol, pressures are put on people not to sell alcohol like in nabatiye : what does the government do to make the law of the state respected everywhere? nada!

Missing peace 02 January 2012, 19:01

what reforms are made to save public money like reducing the number of MPs, reducing privileges to MPs and the army, reducing public servants who go to work just to drink coffee, there still are employees for the railroad : you know that? which then can be used to improve people s salaries...
nothing but as i said: let s wait and see if all the promises made by aoun and his clique are going to be met: i doubt it because they are as corrupted as every other politician and only think of themselves and their interests...
