Hariri Says 'This Horrible Collapse' Could Have Been Halted

W460

Resigned Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri noted Monday that the country’s current “collapse” could have been avoided, days after he quit the mission of forming a new government over deep disagreements with President Michel Aoun and his camp.

“Eid al-Adha comes while dear Lebanon and its good people are being lashed by these crises,” Hariri said in a tweet marking Eid al-Adha.

“We could have put an end to this horrible collapse, had it not been for some parties’ obstinacy and selfishness,” the ex-PM lamented.

Extending Adha greetings to the Lebanese, Hariri pleaded to God to bring “urgent relief.”

Please Naharnet report on how the parliament are outmaneuvering magistrate Bitar by trying ex ministers or MPs Nouhad Machnouk, Ali Hassan Khalil, Ghazi Zeaïter, and Youssef Fenianos.

Basically Future, Amal and Hezbollah started a coalition to try their own ministers !!!! Unacceptable.

Mr. Hariri, with all due respect, you have been a prime minister for many times and have had a sizeable party, could you name one thing you did that we could say you did something? We had no water since 30 years, nor electricity for the same period, corruption is at all times high and your people are pioneers in this area. So, why are you bombarding us with meaningless words. You are a loser. So, please remain outside this realm and have a party only. We need a real prime minister who has a vision, which you don't have. Matter closed.

I am not fond of Hariri or the political ruling class. But for you to say he should have spent $16 million on Lebanese infrastructure you sound like a typical entitled Lebanese. It's his own money and he can spend it on anything he likes and it is not up to you or anyone else to judge him.

Only someone who has not earned this kind of money is capable of spending it on a foreign escort! people who work for their money have morals not to spend it on such thing! (it is much more easy when it is embezzled money)

How could this have been halted, when most of the deals of the past during your tenure were fishy and give to Al Arab group through the ministry the appointee was one of your guys. How could this be halted when you had no vision before the crisis happened; instead of courting Basil and sharing the hush money with him through the energy ministry, you could have brought electricity 24/24 like any normal country. Mr. Hariri, I believe you should have a big party, but never become a prime minister, because time and again, you have proven yourself unable to be in this post, exactly as Aoun and Basil, whom you brought with you to complete the destruction of this country. Enough is enough and now you should listen to us and retire from the prime ministry forever.
