Aoun to Reportedly Voice 'Explosive' Remarks on Monday
President Michel Aoun will voice “explosive” remarks in his televised address on Monday and will tackle all the obstacles that marred his tenure since 2016 until today, Baabda Palace sources told said.
He will cite the obstacles put in his way by both “allies and rivals” and will “call things by their name,” the sources told al-Anbaa newspaper in remarks published Sunday.
“He will not spare the Mar Mikhail Agreement from his attack, because he is determined to say things as they are,” the sources added.
“He will reject to be blamed alone for covering Hizbullah’s arms, because Hizbullah’s arms were present prior to his return from France, and the March 14 forces dealt with them as a fait accompli because they have regional links,” the sources said.
The sources added that “Aoun is dismayed by Hizbullah for obstructing the presidential tenure and its full alignment with his rival Speaker Nabih Berri, who was the only one who opposed his election as president.”

I am looking forward to this, and will eat my popcorn while listening to this. I don`t think that good Lenanese people should be too negative about this. Actually a divide between Aoun/FPM and Hezbollah/Berri is what we need. Another fig leaf removed from the "resistance" an pressure will pile up on the Iranian stooges.
It's all staged dear @un520. The FPM Christian base is extremely restless and unhappy with the alliance of the FPM and Hezbollah. The FPM and Bassil will be using this to regroup in preparation for the elections. Fundamentally, what he or Bassil will say has already been approved by Hezbollah.
I share your remarks Galak, it’s definitely a pre-approved scenario between Bassil and Hizabala.
Exactly. The agreed deal between Bassil and Hezbollah/Amal, to get rid of Judge Bitar on one hand and restrict all the expat votes to only 6 MPs to save Bassil's future, fell though after Mikati refused to sign up on it when left his meeting with Berri in huff. The very next day the Constitutional Council gave it's no ruling ruling and Bassil the excuse to attack his allies in a failed attempt to rally the Christians street, with the same argument that gave Aoun the "tsunami" in 2005. It didn't work. Aoun's supposed "Explosive remarks" today is a last ditch effort to save Bassil and the FPM, nothing more.
Lebanon chose violence instead of peace and welcomed Hezbollah as their savior who was going to eliminate Israel for them. Well guess what, it didn't work and now the snake they cozied up to has them by the throat. I have to say it looks good on them. You reap what you sow and and now they have to find a way to get rid of that proxy snake. Good luck fools, it is going to take a civil war.
