Countdown to border deal has begun as Hochstein visits soon with final response

The countdown to reach an agreement on the border demarcation between Lebanon and Israel has begun, al-Joumhouria newspaper reported Monday.

The daily said that General Security chief Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim is carrying on with the negotiations with U.S. mediator Amos Hochstein, who is expected to visit Lebanon soon with a final response to Lebanon's demands.

Senior Sources have told al-Joumhouria that signing an agreement with Israel is unlikely, thus high-level discussions have begun on how and where to sign the deal.

That certainly doesn't make sense.

I think they mean sitting with Israelis in one room to sign a deal is unlikely. They expressed themselves in a clumsy manner

I wonder if the General Security is going to interrogate this Zionist Israeli citizen when he’ll land in Beirut.

Somehow I believe it won’t happen because Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim and his goons are utterly corrupt .
