Aoun: Demarcation agreement to pull Lebanon out of abyss
President Michel Aoun on Wednesday described the sea border demarcation agreement with Israel as “a gift to the Lebanese people,” adding that it will “pull Lebanon out of the abyss.”
“The situation in Lebanon deteriorated a lot after the country fell into an abyss that wasn’t a coincidence, but rather as a result of actions and behavior that led it to the current situation,” Aoun said.
“The aid dispensed to Lebanon through the Paris 1, Paris 2 and Paris 3 conferences was of no use due to a main reason, which is the failure to change the governance method, and because of the waste of funds that characterized the work of institutions and administrations,” the President added.
As for the demarcation deal, Aoun said it will “allow Lebanon to extract oil and gas, which will pull Lebanon out of the abyss it was thrown into.”
Aoun also called for holding accountable those responsible for “the theft of public funds” and said that “the gradual repatriation of Syrians will begin as of the end of next week.”

Now political mafia and HibIran Basij can pre-sell oil/gas proceed for more corruption, oppression and rockets. After they bankrupted Lebanon and stole people lifetime savings this is the only thing left to steal to insure future generations remain in hell and with no hope. In fact most of this money beside corruption will go to pay accrued skyrocketed interest on the debt and legal fees/jugement from foreign investors insuring Lebanon remain corrupt and rules by the Basij and political mafia, instead of reaching a deal in 2019 by paying 30 cents on the dollar and therefore preserving lira value and depositors money. The 20 billion lost on subsidies and illegal crossings since 2019 are the greatest corruption Lebanon ever seen. We'll make sure all culprits rot in prison!

Never been a worst president in human history than Michel Aoun. After bankrupting a country, stealing billions from ministries FPM controlled leaving people in darkness and worst internet service, evaporating people's lifesavings, and selling our freedom, democracy, dignity and justice to the Basij for 30 pieces of silver, here he manages in the last 20 days to steal Lebanon's resources from future generations. Never been a worst deal with more destructive impacts to Lebanon than this gas deal by to benefit the Basij and political mafia.

Taking into account that President Aouns' term of office is due to end on 1st November but the politicians are unable/unwilling to vote for a replacement just goes to show that not all the blame can be put on him. It seems that the election process, which is not working, just proves that the politicians just couldn't care less. Unfortunately the Lebanese Parliament has never been able to implement the simple formula of "One man, one vote" with only those present taken into account.
