Report: Paris favors president able to deal with int'l community
Paris was contacting both U.S. mediator Amos Hochstein and Hezbollah to push for a resolution in the maritime border negotiations, media reports said.
LBCI reported that French President Emmanuel Macron has asked French multinational energy and petroleum company TotalEnergies to expedite the gas exploration in the Qana field and to compensate Israel from the company's share.
Concerning the Lebanese presidential election, the sources told the channel that France doesn't have a specific candidate for presidency.
"What Paris wants is a president who is capable of dealing with the international community" the sources added.
