National Moderation bloc says won't vote for Azour or Franjieh

MP Walid al-Baarini of the largely-Sunni National Moderation bloc has said that the grouping of lawmakers will attend Wednesday’s presidential election session without voting for Suleiman Franjieh or Jihad Azour.

“Amid the current alignments, the bloc will only take part in the elections through a consensual candidate on whom most parliamentary blocs would agree,” Baarini told the al-Anbaa news portal of the Progressive Socialist Party.

“The election of a president amid this rift and sharp divisions will not lead the country to the shore of safety,” the MP warned.

This is effectively saying" Our vote is highjacked by Hizbollah. Not much different when politicians bow to Syrian occupation forces. People like these are always subservient to the force du jour and don't deserve independence. Not where courage and honor can be found!

Idiots and do not represent ANY people because you are casting a blank=zero vote

That's why anyone who casts a blank vote, that vote should automatically be null and void. So instead of needing 65 votes in first round, then that number should be reduced by how many blank votes were dismissed.

As example if there were 4 blank votes and all dismissed then a 61 vote total should enable the election of a president. These idiots need to learn.
