Sharafeddine lashes out at 'subservient' Bou Habib
Caretaker Minister of the Displaced Issam Sharafeddine has launched a vehement verbal attack on caretaker Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib over the Syrian refugee file.
“You talk a lot and I tolerated you last time, but what are you good for? You are subservient, gutless and complicit,” Sharafeddine added.
Asked about Bou Habib’s remarks that it would be useless to visit Syria to discuss the refugee file, Sharafeddine said: “We will see.”
In a TV interview, Bou Habib had announced that his visit to Syria would not achieve miracles and that there is “international pressure” to keep the situation as it is.

Bou Habib is a joke super incompetent. Lebanon could have rightfully gotten billions for taking care of Syrian refugees and teaching them democracy and civility so they can make a positive change once back in Syria. Turkey got tens of billions from Europe as these refugees would have cost significantly more in Europe, with average cost of $3,000 per month. Lebanon rightly deserves at least $25 per day for every Syrian temporary refugee. This is over $13 billion per year. Bou Habib should have requested UN & Arab league to have these funds earmarked from any donor conference to rebuild Syria. This would insure Assad would want them back ASAP as every day reduces donations. FPM has instead used refugees as a cash cow to divert millions to its cronies. In addition, why not use them in large infrastructure projects or learn from US and UAE and offer citizenship to 1,000 students with highest score whether Syrian, Palestinian or any refugee or kids of Asian and African foreign workers.
