Jumblat blasts Biden over silence on Israel's crimes

Former Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblat has asked U.S. president Joe Biden if "incinerating" the Palestinian people is acceptable, after the latter condemned Hamas' "brutality."

On the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, Biden compared Hamas to ISIS.

"The brutality of Hamas, the blood-thirstiness, brings to mind the worst rampages of ISIS," Biden wrote. "This is terrorism," he added.

Jumblat replied on X that Biden is only seeing one side of the story.

"What about the Palestinian people? What about Gaza, the biggest concentration camp of the world? Will you leave them to be incinerated by Israeli bombs?" he asked.
