Franjieh scheduled to visit France today
Marada Movement chief and presidential candidate Suleiman Franjieh will visit the French capital Paris on Thursday, media reports said.
Diplomatic sources meanwhile told the Nidaa al-Watan newspaper that “the French approach regarding the presidential juncture stresses that the presidential void can only be ended through a third choice that would secure national balance and not give the impression that a camp has defeated the other.”
“Franjieh will hear from his French interlocutors the need to search for a presidential choice other than Jihad Azour and Franjieh,” the sources added.
The sources also said that they are convinced that Hezbollah “will not go to the presidential elections before the end of the war in Gaza.”
