Report: Berri says French proposal good as Hezbollah agrees to it

W460

Speaker Nabih Berri met Monday evening with Hezbollah secretary-general's political aide Hussein Khalil and handed him a copy of the French paper suggesting a solution for the Israel-Hezbollah border conflict, MTV said.

According to MTV, Berri told Khalil that "the offer is good and deserves to be studied."

Hezbollah for its part was "satisfied with the French paper and with the use of the term 'redeployment' instead of Hezbollah's 'withdrawal' to the area beyond the Litani River which had been previously used by (U.S. mediator Amos) Hochstein," MTV reported.

"Hezbollah does not mind what is proposed in the French and U.S. papers, specifically (Israel's) full withdrawal from seven border points and partial withdrawal from other points while keeping the Shebaa Farms problem pending," the TV network added.

Enough of this dinosaur, subservient to the Basij, dean of political mafia, and a disgrace phony heir to Imam Saddr. Economic troubles started after he blocked the government to prevent International tribunal and protect Hizb assassins; bankrupting Downtown Beirut, ruining Lebanon reputation for business and tourism, sacrificing our democracy and sovereignty, and made our politicians the laughing stock of the world. He and other political mafia are the reason diaspora and the world have abandoned Lebanon, and hundreds of thousands will never return or visit Lebanon. Disarming HizbIran and getting rid of the political mafia are a prerequisite for salvation. Otherwise, all is in vain & more bright minds will be shredding their passports! Whereas Saddr believed in building up his community and creating bridges with others, the duo believes in tearing down others and using demography to impose their will.

Berri, a phony heir to Imam Mussa Saddr movement. Saddr was one of Lebanon's great. A believer in building up instead of tearing down, a supporter of institutions instead of criminal militias, a builder of bridges instead of isolation, a believer in Lebanon instead of Hizbollahstan, a seeker of tolerance and unity instead of radicalism and intimidation. If Imam Saddr was among us in 2010, no doubt he would be a champion of the Green Revolution in Iran, a twin to our Cedar Revolution, and like many freedom and democracy supporters, Imam Saddr may have been assassinated by the Basij or their Lebanese version Hizbollah. No greater Useful Idiot than Berri who sold Lebanese Shiaa community and its great culture and heritage to the Basij for personal benefits. Duo are mortal danger on Lebanon; poisoning our democracy, freedom and civility and imposing their backward Basij way of life by force and intimidation, incompatible with Lebanon culture and values.
