Geagea says Hezbollah-led camp is 'partitioning' country, not LF

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri has “dropped his mask” and “let no one dream of reaching a moment when Lebanon would have a supreme guide,” Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea has said.

“Which Lebanese constitution article stipulates that prior to every presidential election, the parliament speaker would call for a dialogue table attended by the blocs to consult over the presidential vote? Today Berri has dropped his mask,” Geagea said in an interview with the al-Markazia news agency.

“He is trying to create unstated constitutional norms and articles. We don’t support a dialogue table chaired by Berri but rather contacts and consultations among the blocs,” the LF leader added stressing that Lebanon cannot have a “supreme guide.”

Asked about Berri’s accusation that he is rejecting dialogue to push for “federalism” in the country, Geagea said: “This is an assumption from Berri that has nothing to do with reality.”

“Since he has raised the issue of federalism let him know this: those who are practicing a full partitioning and not merely federalism are the Axis of Defiance and there is categorical evidence. Who has an alternative army, alternative security forces, alternative institutions and is controlling state institutions? Who is establishing private border crossings and who is taking the decision of war despite the opinion of the Lebanese and even the government? This is the party that is partitioning Lebanon,” Geagea explained, in an apparent reference to Hezbollah and its allies.

Hizb or Iran’s Foreign Legion succeeded in destroying Lebanese culture and democracy and turning its community into brainwashed Basij trapped into a culture of hate and war. Sadly, last parliament elections showed there are two Lebanons with not much in common. Unless Shia's silent majority wake up and rediscover its Lebanese culture and traditions, dividing the country into Hizbollahstan and Free Lebanon will be inevitable. No one accept to live under occupation. Maybe then each community can live to its fullest potential and aspirations.

It is always Geageas supporters that calls for Federalism. Lebanon problem now is that the pro western Lebanese Cling to America and therefore the whole country becomes reliant on dollars.
In Syria despite the war they are atleast using their own currency and they do not allow the use of dollars in any transactions.
This is how Lebanon should do in order to save our own currency, but Geagea and Gemayel prefers Lebanon to be chained under Americas feet forever.
