Hezbollah launches combined attack on 9 Israeli posts, in response to Jwaya strike
Hezbollah launched rocket and drone attacks on several Israeli army bases and positions on Thursday, after an Israeli strike killed one of its senior commanders.
Hezbollah fighters launched "an attack with rockets and drones, targeting six barracks and military sites" while simultaneously flying "squadrons of explosive-laden drones" at three other Israeli bases, the group said in a statement.
It said the attacks were "part of the response to the assassination" of Hezbollah commander Taleb Abdallah on Tuesday.
Earlier on Thursday, Hezbollah targeted the al-Raheb post in north Israel, while Israeli warplanes struck the outskirts of Jdeidet Marjeyoun and Haris.
“Our response after the martyrdom of Abu Taleb will be to intensify our operations in severity, strength, quantity and quality,” senior Hezbollah official Hashem Saffieddine said during a funeral ceremony for Taleb Sami Abdullah who was killed in an airstrike late Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Hezbollah fired a massive barrage of rockets into northern Israel in retaliation for Abdullah’s killing, further escalating tensions.
Hezbollah has traded fire with Israel nearly every day since the Israel-Hamas war began on Oct. 7, and says it will only stop if there is a truce in Gaza. That has raised fears of a regional conflagration.
Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon since October have killed over 400 people, most of them Hezbollah fighters, but the dead also include more than 70 civilians and non-combatants. On the Israeli side, 15 soldiers and 10 civilians have been killed since the war in Gaza began.

All Lebanese, from all sects, should go to the streets and ask Hezbollah to stop dragging them into an uneven suicidal fight. The small dents that the attacks against Israel are causing are only bringing destructive and deadly retaliations against Lebanon.
If Hezbollah was so confident of its fighting capabilities why is Nasrallah still hiding in comfortable underground bunkers while the rest of the Lebanese are left unprotected?

Furthermore, if I may add, it seems only logical that Lebanon should grant every Palestinian refugee Lebanese citizenship and ensure they are provided with suitable accommodations. To truly demonstrate our commitment to this noble cause, perhaps we might consider initiating this initiative by generously offering your own residence as their first haven.
