Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu returned from his U.S. trip on Sunday and swiftly headed for a security cabinet meeting after deadly rocket fire killed 12 youths in the Golan Heights.

"The prime minister’s plane has landed in Israel. He is now making his way to the defense ministry" for the meeting, Netanyahu’s office said in a statement.

The time for Mikati to speak for the nation is now. Otherwise, BouHabib's pleading to the United States and the statement urging an “immediate cessation of hostilities on all fronts" and "condemning all attacks on civilians.", without specific mention of Majdal Shams, will hasten harm to Lebanon.

The nation's President is needed. No one else can substitute. An interim president will do, but Ministers, Speakers, etc. can not.

His is the one voice that can avert a severe decree, just now ... less clearly could be too little .. later could be too late.
