Berri: Netanyahu lying to everyone, Gaza residents can't be abandoned
Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri has said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is “lying to everyone.”
“He has backed down from his support for the U.S.-European initiative,” Berri added, in remarks to Lebanon’s L'Orient-Le Jour newspaper.
“The 21-day ceasefire should apply to both Lebanon and Gaza,” Berri said, stressing that “the (Gaza) Strip’s residents cannot be abandoned.”
