Report: Berri agrees to Hochstein's proposal, dicusses ceasefire 'mechanism' with him
Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said Monday that the atomsphere of his meeting with U.S. mediator Amos Hochstein was "good and positive more than he was expecting," MTV reported.
"The 21-day ceasefire will be the gateway for establishing a permanent ceasefire prior to the start of the implementation of Resolution 1701," sources informed on the meeting told MTV.
"Berri agreed to Hochstein's proposal and discussed with him the details and stages of the implementation mechanism," the sources added.
"Hochstein proposed to Berri the implementation of 1701 with an annex, which would resemble an understanding involving a mechanism for implementing the resolution," the sources said.
Oh good: Berri agrees to the same thing he already had in-hand 14 months ago ... Back to doing nothing, then and now and in the coming 3 weeks and, soon, for the long term.
