Iran's Supreme Leader says Hamas, Hezbollah remain strong

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei says its alliance of militant groups opposed to Israel remains strong despite the killing of many of their senior leaders.

“God willing, the world will see a day when the Zionist regime will be defeated by them,” Iranian state TV reported the leader as saying Thursday.

The report quoted Khamenei as saying that Hamas and other “leaders of the resistance” are “still fighting” even though some of their leaders have been killed by intensified Israel airstrikes.

Israeli strikes and military operations in recent months have killed the top leaders of both Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon, as well as many of their senior commanders.

Both groups are part of the so-called Axis of Resistance, which includes other Iran-backed groups in Syria, Iraq and Yemen.

Iran and its allies have repeatedly traded fire with Israel and the United States over the past year following Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023 attack, raising fears of a regional war.

The Zionist regime may defeated someday .. but it is abundantly clear it will not happen in Khamenei's lifetime or any time when people will have remembered his name. The Supreme Leader's ambition in Lebanon and against Israel is a failure. The Shia have been tools put to the service of a false prophesy.

Pity the enormity of that waste.

Theirs is not the way. Lebanon needs to chart its own way that serves its own interests.

Hizbollah fighters are defending Iran not Lebanon. Even their orders are from Iran making them a purely Iranian brigade. They are causing the systematic destruction of Lebanese cities to defend Iran interests. Hizb is considered a terrorist organization by Western & Arab nations, and a criminal organization by most Lebanon for assassinating Lebanon's best and bankrupting & isolating our country. WHEN WOULD THE LEBANESE ARMY WAKE UP AND CONFISCATE HIZBIRAN ARMS WITH ALL ITS HIDEOUTS THAT ARE A PRESENT DANGER TO ALL LEBANESE COMMUNITIES? 80% OF Lebanese are calling army to take control now. If army acted a month ago, all this destruction, displacement and civilian lives lost would have been avoided. Army must act now also to avoid a civil war with an occupying Iranian brigade with Lebanese indoctrinated mercenaries. Only then the Shia community will be of this nightmare and free to rediscover its Lebanese culture with new leaders representing the great Imam Saddr path.
