U.S. mediator Amos Hochstein will visit Beirut on Tuesday and Israel on Wednesday as part of his efforts to push the ceasefire deal forward and amid reported progress in the negotiations, media reports said.

Israel is "expecting major progres in the ceasefire negotiations with Lebanon next week, during Hochstein's visit," Israeli state media quoted sources as saying.

Lebanon is meanwhile expected to deliver its response to Hochstein's latest ceasefire proposal in the coming hours.

The proposal was received by Speaker Nabih Berri on Thursday.

Of critical importance that not one rocket & arm storage remains with HizbIran in any ceasefire deal. Also no rebuilding aid prior to disarming Hizb. We can’t allow a repeat scenario especially with this Vichy government. Hizb may well be fighting Lebanese army when all Lebanese demand removal of its Iranian arms. Lebanon borders can only be protected by International agreement, army, UNIFIL and Western guarantees. Hizb over 30 years systematically destroyed Lebanon for total occupation to make it an Iranian rocket base like Houthis. Now is time for real peace & rebuilding. Where would Lebanon be today if Rafiq Hariri was not assassinated by Hizbollah? Hariri who made Beirut the envy of the Arabs and magnet for investment & western firms attracted by freedom, liberalism and superior education, healthcare & banking… all today destroyed by Hizb and its puppets & useful idiots. Disarming HizbIran will make 2025 the year Lebanon rise like a phoenix.
