Berri: Course headed to solution, no one accepts Hezbollah's isolation
Speaker Nabih Berri on Friday announced that "the course is headed toward a solution" as to the issue of the Shiite Duo's participation in the new government.
Prime Minister-designate "Nawaf Salam is cooperative and I did not discuss portfolios and names with him," Berri told Al-Jadeed television.
Asked whether Hezbollah and the Amal Movement will take part in the government, Berri said: "When the PM-designate presents the names to us, we will agree if the person is competent, and we will reject him if he is not competent, even if he is my brother."
"We did not accept the isolation of any component in the past, we will not accept it today, and no one accepts Hezbollah's isolation," Berri added.
"As long as God is in the sky, the Party of God (Hezbollah) will remain on the ground," Berri stressed.

FIRST BIG DISAPPOINTMENT IN SALAM. Everyone knew Duo, who don’t even represent the majority of Shia, will torpedo every government they are not key players in “managing” international aids to rebuild their communities (ignoring the hundreds of billions in direct & indirect costs suffered by the rest of Lebanese and the on-going borrowing that only law-abiding Lebanese will pay). Salam should have avoided this duo at any cost and proceeded in forming a techno honest competent government away from political mafia with first critical actions removing all arms outside army and implementing reforms. Clearly Salam is not the right PM. Lebanon may lose this unique opportunity for salvation and unprecedented international support due to Salam's lack of political skills and eagerness to compromise with the political mafia and criminal Hizbollah that destroyed Lebanon and assassinated its best leaders. Salam seems afflicted with Stockholm syndrome!

Michel Aoun used Hizb militia to become president. Bassil used Hizb militia to get elected (Disposable Useful Idiot). Berri is now using Hizb militia to stay out of prison. Hizb is insisting on keeping arms (unbelievable still trying today to bring arms from Syria) in order not to end up like Assad. Hope Salam is not another Disposable Useful Idiot stealing from Lebanese this unique opportunity for salvation, sovereignty where no arms outside army, and finally solve the criminal cases of M14 assassinations and port explosion. We thought he cared about JUSTICE! bringing political mafia and M14 assassins to JUSTICE! Where is JUSTICE in Salam's priorities?

2. Full sovereignty & Control of all borders
3. Reforms and working for country not Zuamas or parties
4. Ministers of competent honest reformers respected by West & Arabs
5. Positive neutrality
Mr Salam, make sure every minister in your government understands and supports this vision with no Trojan Horses. That's the least Lebanese can ask from you. Your government success is Lebanon's success and salvation!
