Qassem says Israel's violation of agreement highlights 'Lebanon's need for resistance'

Hezbollah chief Sheikh Naim Qassem has announced that the ceaesfire agreement's violation by Israel "highlights Lebanon's need for the resistance," adding that so-called army-people-resistance equation is "still steadfast despite the talk of haters."

In a pre-recorded speech aired Monday, Qassem added that his group won’t accept the extension of the ceasefire deadline, without addressing the fact that the Lebanese government had already done so overnight.

“Israel has to withdraw because the 60 days are over,” Qassem said. “We won’t accept any excuses to extend one second or one day.”

“Any delay in the withdrawal is the responsibility of the United Nations, the U.S., France and Israel,” he added.

Qassem warned that, "We are facing an occupation that is aggressive and refuses to withdraw, and the resistance has the right to act as it sees fit."

Qassem also said his group has not violated the ceasefire terms and acknowledged that they considered retaliating against Israeli airstrikes but were advised by Lebanese authorities against it.

I think you should retaliate, otherwise the equation is broken and only army-people now exists.
Next time you send the black shirts on motorcycles to Gemayzeh, the MK drones will locate where they came from and will destroy/level to the ground.

Naim Qassem and Netanyahu are two sides of the same coin—they thrive off each other. The state must come first, and anyone who stands against Lebanon’s sovereignty should be arrested, no exceptions. The only ones carrying arms in this country should be the Lebanese military and police. If anyone defies that, they’re breaking the law—arrest them.

If Qassem truly believes in his so-called “equation,” then it needs to be clear: it’s the people and the state—period. Hezbollah can function as a political party, fine, but not as an armed militia. All weapons, surveillance, and military equipment need to be handed over to the Lebanese Army, no debate. And if their fighters want to serve, they should join the army like any other soldier. It’s time to end the double standards. Lebanon deserves one state, one military, and no armed factions outside of that.

No way should the "resistance" be included in future government policies or slogans, under any circumstances. The era when Iran's proxy Hezbollah, controlled everything, are over, full stop.
