Fayad questioned over dam project, ex-energy ministers to be summoned

In a notable judicial development, First Investigative Judge of the North Samaranda Nassar has listened to ex-energy minister Walid Fayad as a witness in the case of the Msaylha dam project.

Fayad left the Justice Palace in Tripoli after a two-hour hearing session and might be summoned for further interrogation, the Nidaa al-Watan newspaper said.

Nassar will also summon other former energy ministers, including Raymond Ghajar and Nada al-Bustani.

According to reports, Nassar has charged the executive and consulting firms related to the project, including foreign companies, in order to determine how 44 out of 65 million dollars were spent.
