Aoun says no one can bear another war in Lebanon
President Joseph Aoun on Monday called on the Lebanese to “unify efforts and act objectively and responsible to keep Lebanon away from the conflict around us,” referring to the latest sectarian bloodshed in neighboring Syria.
He added that his objective is to “ensure the country’s safety and not risk the eruption of a war, seeing as no one has the ability to bear it.”
“This is a chance to protect Lebanon, in the vein of what happened during the war between Israel and Iran, when we exerted efforts to keep Lebanon away from this war,” the president said.
“Foreign nations have lauded the taken decision to monopolize arms in the hand of the state,” Aoun added.

An idiot knows Hizbollah is an Iranian mercenary force that has nothing to do with resistance or liberation. Incredible weakness & incompetence demoralizing the army. Playing Russian Roulette with Lebanon sovereignty & freedom. Could have saved Lebanon economy & deposits by having army take over in 2019. Could have prevented destruction of Shia cities and gained world support by giving ultimatum for HizbIran to disarm after its arm depots were hit prior to invasion. Could have saved Lebanon soul, dignity & future by quickly disarming Hizb after he became president. Could at least protected villages by having army disarm Hizbs in areas away from their strongholds. ARMY CAN DISARM HIZB IN NO TIME. IMPOSSIBLE TO BE DEFEATED by HizbIran, UNIFIL & world will never allow it. Lebanese & majority of Shia will quickly volunteer to eradicate this cancer. How many senseless death & misery during Covid, People loosing its savings & retirements, unable to afford food or medicine while Hizb spending billions on arms! Five Critical Mistakes Proving Salam Supreme Injustice & Unfit for Office:
- Rehabilitating Berri (most corrupt & Faustian Duo deal causing more harm to Shia than Hizb) instead of pushing Amal to elect new leader on path of the great Imam Saddr, a revered figure by most Lebanese
- Not putting Hizb leaders in prison for their documented crimes & give ultimatum to disarm (negotiate with a criminal organization is the joke of the Century)
- Giving all Shia ministerial positions to duo (unbelievable mistake – worse than Russian Roulette)
- Promising reparation instead of seizing all Hizb assets, suing Iran for damage by its mercenary foreign legion (as admitted by Nassrallah) & prioritizing victims of Hizbs
