Israel strikes south, Hezbollah fires drone at north Israel
Israeli strikes targeted Monday Tebnine, Dweir, Mayfadoun, Majdal Selem, Qana, Deir Ntar, Siddiqine, Maarakeh, Hanaway, Harouf, Kfar Remman, Zawtar, Deir Ames and Deir al-Zahrani in south Lebanon, after a midnight strike on an apartment in Baalbek killed an Islamic Jihad commander and his 17-year-old daughter and wounded two other people.
One person was killed in the strike on a house in Maarakeh, and eight others were wounded.
Israeli artillery also shelled al-Mansouri, Halta, Kfarshouba, Ali Taher, Yohmor-Shqif, Yater, Deir Ames, and Smaiyeh in the south, while Israeli troops detonated houses in the border town of Khiam and Taybeh, in the Israeli-declared "yellow zone".
Later in the day, the Israeli military ordered the residents of Harouf, Burj Shmali and Debaal to evacuate ahead of strikes.
Hezbollah said its fighters fired a drone Monday at an Iron Dome platform in north Israel.
In a statement, Hezbollah said it launched the drone at "an Iron Dome platform belonging to the Israeli enemy army" in a military encampment in northern Israel, in response to an Israeli "violation" of the ceasefire.
The group later said it targeted Israeli troops and equipment in the southern border towns of Rsheif and Deir Seryan.
