Issa from Dar al-Fatwa: Why do you ask Israel to withdraw, but not Hezbollah to disarm?
Israeli attacks on Lebanon have not stopped because Hezbollah has not surrendered its weapons, American Ambassador Michel Issa said Wednesday as he visited Dar al-Fatwa.
"Hezbollah does not want to do anything, so why do we ask Israel to do everything? Why do you only ask Israel to withdraw, and you don't ask Hezbollah to disarm?" he asked after he met Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian.
Issa told reporters after the meeting that the U.S. will negotiate with Hezbollah "if they have something to offer us", adding that negotiations are ongoing and pilot zones are progressing, but "it will take time".
"We are monitoring the developments in Ali al-Tahir over the next two days," he said. "We care about every community in Lebanon, and we want to know what each community wants".
Israel is in Lebanon Illegally.israel have never Respected Lebanon's Sovernty.every country in the world have the right to bare arms. israhell should get the hell out of Lebanon .all of Meadle East.and go to Poland and Ukraine.. Lebanese government should stop talking to U S.U K. France. Germany.they are not our Friends.they have not lifted a finger to help Lebanon for over 50 Years.
Very good question he asks. Why is there not answer from the President or Prime Minister?
When asked by an uneducated Shia Iranian mouthpiece "Whose country is this, anyway?", Issa replied: " Ask your employers in Tehran".
I was assuming the Mufti was a Shia. Google says he's a Sunni. So when Issi says to him "You want Israel out but not for Hezbullah to disarm", Issi is really saying "Lebanon does not want Hezbullah to disarm."
