Miqati Hails ‘Productive’ Cabinet, Says Parliamentary Session Will Go ‘Smoothly’

Prime Minister Najib Miqati described on Thursday the cabinet session at the Baabda Palace as “productive,” also expecting the parliamentary session to go on “smoothly.”
“The legislature that will convene on Thursday will be calm and productive, particularly after the extra-budgetary spending was withdrawn from discussions,” Miqati told al-Liwaa newspaper.
He stressed that the parliamentary session will take its “normal legislative” sequence and approve some draft-laws in the presence of the March 14-opposition MPs.
The daily said that the parliament will tackle several draft-laws including money laundry, tax evasion and transactions from and into Lebanon.
The March 14 lawmakers boycotted the two last sessions conditioning their approval of a $5.9 billion spending bill to a comprehensive solution to the extra-budgetary spending.
Speaker Nabih Berri removed the bill from the parliament’s agenda pending the adoption of a draft-law by the cabinet on the spending made in 2006-2010.

they are starving because of the theives who ruled and currupted all teh lebanese instititions not because of a government who has been burdened with 20 years of mistakes!!!
