Boxes of expired medicine were found dumped in Akkar in a trash container as authorities are carrying on a firm crackdown on harmful goods across Lebanon, the National News Agency reported.

According to the news agency, the violators tried to burn the expired medicine boxes in order to hide any evidence, however, their attempt failed.

A unit from the Internal Security Forces and State Security Forces arrived at the scene and launched an investigation.

On Thursday, 25 boxes of expired medication, mostly cough medicine, were found in Majdel Anjar.

Also, unknown sources dumped around 100 small boxes containing expired medications in a dumpster in the port city of Sidon.

Expired medicine isn't life threatening. Up to 3 years after the expiry date. I'm not talking about supplements such as vitamins etc... Strictly medicine. Anyway, selling it is however illegal.

Damn I hate Leb. Everyday we go one step backwards.
How can Lebanese people hate their own country?
The government is doing the best job to let Lebanese people leave their country.
You Lebanese ignorants continue supporting all the leaders who were in the center of the civil war. Go ignorants go.

Let's get the record straight: whether it is spoiled expired meat, medicine, arms, drugs, building material, dangerous chemicals, it is all imported by the shia and their hizb coz they are the only group who have the means and power on the "ground" to do it. They then distribute it to other filthy corrupt wholesalers for profit. The location where these products is found is IRRELEVANT!
