Three Appointments on Cabinet Agenda

The cabinet is scheduled to make several appointments of civil servants to posts in state institutions next week after a several month standstill, An Nahar daily reported Sunday.

It said the cabinet agenda includes three articles on the appointment of the chief of staff at the Civil Service Council, the director-general of the ministerial affairs at the general directorate of the premiership, the head of research at the Civil Service Council.

According to An Nahar, Antoine Jebran, Elias Makari and Youssef Naous are the candidates for the first post.

As for the candidates of the post of head of research, they are Nathalie Yared, Mona Awwad and Hanna al-Amil.

The first two names are also candidates for the post of the director-general of the ministerial affairs along with Antoine Jebran.

According to An Nahar, Premier Najib Miqati is suggesting Awwad for the position.

The cabinet is set to tackle 76 items during its session at Baabda Palace next Wednesday.
