Qabbani Says Electoral Law Mustn't be Tailored to Ensure Dominance of Any Camp
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةGrand Mufti Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Qabbani on Friday called on all lawmakers to “choose an electoral law that does not allow any party to impose its control over a certain region,” pleading to God to “destroy those who are destroying the homes of the Syrians.”
“We want a law that would ensure proper representation for the Lebanese, and let the slogan of the sought electoral law be 'proper elections for a proper representation', rather than for domination and extending the influence of a certain party. This is an advice that we give to our lawmakers,” said Qabbani.
Commenting on the issue of the new wage scale, the mufti said the new scale is a “legitimate right” for the people, but criticized “those who are demonstrating while the country is in dire need for calm.”
Turning to the conflict in neighboring Syria, Qabbani pleaded to God to “destroy those who are killing people and destroying their houses over their heads.”
BRAVO, SHEIKH GRAND MUFTI, since you give a good opinion about the election, please liaise with the Hrand Patriarch and all other respected religious dignitaries, to stop these so called politicians milking the country, and advice your people who to vote, and let them be honest and not profeteers. We have read today that Mikati by his job as Prime Minister has allowed
Six ministers to accompany him to Congo on the expenses of the Tax Payers. in a country in debt. Shameless people. Why would they not save the money in a box for more urgent things like Social Security, Hospitals and Schools for the Poor. Lebanon should not be run by a Mikati and by suchsort of people...
The last time I checked, Aoun wass still alive. I am not sure whose grave will eventually be deeper, his or that of my hairy butt whose picture is next to your pseudonym, you little devil!
