An Arab League delegation headed by the bloc's chief Nabil al-Arabi will visit Gaza on Tuesday in a show of support for the territory in the face of Israeli air strikes, a league official said.
"The Arab ministerial delegation formed by the Arab foreign ministerial council will visit Gaza on Tuesday, headed by Nabil al-Arabi," the official said in a statement .
Arab foreign ministers roundly denounced Israel's campaign in Gaza at an emergency meeting in Cairo Saturday.
The session came amid a flurry of meetings to coordinate an Arab and Turkish response to the conflict, in which scores of Palestinians have been killed in air strikes and three Israelis have died in Hamas rocket attacks.
The ministers at the Arab League meeting asked a task force to review "the usefulness of continuing the Arab commitment in proposing the Arab peace initiative as a strategic choice," according to a statement issued after the meeting.
Member states should "reconsider all past Arab initiatives on the peace process and review their stance on the process as a whole," said al-Arabi.
In 2002, Arab states offered Israel diplomatic recognition in return for its withdrawal from all occupied territory and an equitable settlement of the Palestinian refugee question. This has been a cornerstone of Arab diplomacy ever since.

The Arab League, 35+ Arab States who refuse to have any connection with Israel can not possibly be an honest broker.
The are sending a delgation to Gaza on Tuesday, but in order to be able to have even the slightest influence surely a visit to Israel is also necessary.

Israel has burned every bridge in MENA. The entire world is tired of the Israeli Apartheid of Palestine.
Even in the U.S. 50% of Jews could care less about your Zionist state. Israel has won all the battles and lost the war.

mmckini - I thought you said the other day that you were not going to reply to my comments. Even your memory can't go back two days.
"Israeli Apartheid of Palestine" = Gaza has been completely without Jews, civilians or army for 7 years. (Judenrein). So why do you say Israeli Apartheid?
"your Zionist state" = once again, the minute someone disagrees with your warped mind he is automatically an Israeli or a Zionist.
Continue with your dreams.
Just so that I can know what you are talking about what is MENA. The only thing I can think of is Middle East News Agency, but I don't think that Israel has ever had any bridges to there.

@ phillipo
Israel could do much better than you as far as their propaganda.

Why the rush? Can't it wait until the weekend? It should be more fun by then. After all Syria is the priority for the crazy Sunni punks, those bearded and pest infested as well as those unbearded.

Nice vacation ahead, might as well spend some of their time and cash money in Lebanon as well. Oh wait, Hizballah would blow them up as soon as they land.

ur comment is as ussless as the arab League & arab Gov, zahhet

I think the idea of the AL visiting Israel as well is a good one if they are interested in brokering a settlement. I wouldnt be too optomistic given their efforts to broker a settlement in Syria. If the AL cant get its fellow Arabs and members of the league to pay attention to its directives, they shouldnt expect more success with Israel.
