Saqr: Syria's Arrest Warrants are Source of Pride

Al-Mustaqbal parliamentary bloc MP Oqab Saqr considered on Tuesday the arrest warrant issued against him by the Syrian regime “a source of pride coming from this era's stupidity and its assassin”.

"Issuing these warrants is a clear proof of the Syrian regime's involvement in the fabrication of the recordings' case,” Saqr said in a released statement.

"The entire case was made up by the same intelligence service that plans assassinations,” he stated, saying that the tapes' issue was executed by (Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel) “Aoun and his media tools and a newspaper known for its subordination to (Syrian President Bashar) Assad”.

Saqr said: “Informing the Arab Interpol about this arrest warrant gives me a free pass to all the region's countries while Assad is hiding underground with his slayers from the justice of the Syrian people and the rebels”.

The MP described equalizing the audio tapes with the case of former Minister Michel Samaha as a desperate attempt given that “Assad is approaching the day of his penalization”.

Samaha was arrested in August on charges of forming a criminal gang aimed at carrying out attacks in Lebanon at Syria's behest.

Saqr also urged the Lebanese judicial system not to delay the investigation in this issue as it is not only a matter of “low media standards, but of assassination crimes as well”.

The Internal Security Forces' Interpol office received on Tuesday arrest warrants coming from Syrian authorities against ex-Prime Minister Saad Hariri, MP Oqab Saqr and the Media Coordinator in the Free Syrian Army Louay Meqdad for their alleged involvements in arming and financing Syria's opposition.

OTV and al-Akhbar newspaper, both close to the Hizbullah-led March 8 majority coalition, broadcast and printed a three-part series of the recordings in which the lawmaker allegedly discussed arrangements to ship arms supplies to the Syrian opposition.

Saqr held a press conference last week challenging the Syrian government and his Lebanese foes to prove that he was indeed providing rebels with weapons.

Geha a question! Put aside the rivalry M14 and M8 for a minute. Do you honestly believe the BS this guy vomits every single second?
Just say Yes or No :)

Thumb LEBhasNOhope 12 December 2012, 16:58

Rebelling from France is more courageous?

Thumb bigsami 11 December 2012, 22:36

Pride? Damn are these fools serious? Do they actually think they have any authority let alone legitimacy in the world? LMAO! Delusional like BSThrower and the likes....still smoking crack! One day they will wake up to reality in the same manner Moammar Khadafi did....in a sewer pipe and later into his grave!

Saqr

1.) I never armed the jihadists in Syria ... let someone prove it!

2.) I'm proud of arming the jihadists in Syria with weapons!

3.) I armed the Jidadists with milk and blankets in Syria!

I wish to see fsa fully armed in order to stop hezbollah and assas terrors to murder syrian people. but 14 march or mostaqbal is is weak to do that. nor they can prevent hezbollah militias to enter and murder innocent syrians.

Thumb primesuspect 12 December 2012, 00:11

The Syrian arrest warrants are useless because the western nations (+ others) recognized the Syrian opposition as the sole representatives of the Syrian people. Take this Bashar!

Thumb primesuspect 12 December 2012, 00:21

No resistance. The other countries don't care about Syria or Syrians.

Thumb primesuspect 12 December 2012, 00:49

China, Russia and others are scared of human rights. They kill their own people in silence. They don't want to create another precedent that could go against them one day. Whether you like it or not, the Syrian ruler has lost every inch of legitimacy he had. He messed up because he simply as clever as he father was. He couldn't anticipate twitter, Facebook or YouTube and how the youth was fed up with dictatorship.

Good one Tony. Nice sense of humour.

Why are the Hezb thugs better than the Wahhabi thugs?

Missing gabby10 12 December 2012, 04:56

The fall of Assad is now 100% guaranteed Tony. The M8 denial psychosis is very evident now. The Hezz even cancelled their psycho convention due to internal fighting over the fall of Assad and how to try and hold on after their blundering adventures. We will be LOL at the idiots above soon

I find it nothing funnier than M8 people on here claiming that they have facts and are trying to talk common sense. The same people that come on here and try to sell everyone stroies of gas canisters exploding every other week. of personal a bomb going off prematurely was not going to be used to assasinate someone but it was how two hiz tz members settle their financial dispute over a car purchase or that hiz fighters are not dying in syria but in border towns defending Lebanese. The list goes on and on for miles. First, you should try and build your credibility, then you can challenge people truthfullness. Just sayin......
