Saqr: Interpol's Rejection of Syrian Warrants Blow to Regime and its Lebanese Allies

Mustaqbal MP Oqab Saqr noted on Friday that Interpol's announcement that it will not deal with the Syrian arrest warrants against him, former Premier Saad Hariri, and Syrian opposition member Louay al-Meqdad is a “heavy blow” to President Bashar Assad and his regime.

He said in a statement: “The announcement was a heavy blow against Assad, the regime, and their Lebanese allies.”

“Interpol made it clear that the warrants are a failure, similar to Assad's failure before the international community and the internal scene in Syria,” added the MP.

“Its message to Assad is clear in that the warrants are not worth the ink they were written with,” Saqr continued.

“Your reliance on the fabrications of the Lebanese media will no longer work and your days are numbered as stipulated by your closest supporters,” he said addressing Assad.

Interpol said on Thursday that it will not deal with the Syrian arrest warrants in line with its constitution and rules.

According to a memo sent by the Interpol to its offices in the Arab countries, the organization decided not to keep the arrest warrants in its database and will not cooperate with them based on its regulations as “it is strictly forbidden for the organization to undertake any intervention or activities of political, military, religious or racial character.”

The organization pointed out that the request doesn't comply with its regulations based on “the nature of the charges, the status of the wanted individuals and the current situation in Syria.”

Noone needs to respond to your posts, just to your three "filthy zionist scum" remarks. Just like a few other people here, if they don't agree with you then they are automatically "filthy zionist scum".
I bet you would object if someone called you "filthy hizballah, pro-syrian scum" so why do you insult people just for the purposes of insults.
I am also sure that people keep their own nicknames and don't go to your level of changing their nicknames just to fit in with the reply that needs sending.

Who will believe this liar Saqr? He is trying to regain credibility by stating the obvious when he, himself has been trapped by his own web of deceit.

Saqr hopes by bashing Assad and his regime his own sins will be washed away ... Two wrongs do not make a right !!!

just because the Interpol doesn't want to arrest these politicians doen't mean they are clean?

Missing helicopter 15 December 2012, 02:37

damascene .... you are welcome but I hope their reward will be in the form of demarcated borders and non-interference in Lebanese affairs (things the current regime did not do). Friendly, neighborly and mutually respectful relations is all we want.
