Former Tunisian President’s Wife’s Assets in Lebanese Bank Frozen
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةA Lebanese bank has frozen the assets of Leila Trabolsi Ben Ali, the wife of former Tunisian President Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali, and a number of her relatives, revealed official bank sources in Beirut.
They told the Kuwaiti al-Anbaa newspaper in remarks published on Monday that her accounts are only located in the Lebanese-Canadian Bank and they do not include any accounts for her husband.
They added: “The largest of her accounts was opened under the name of Leila bint Mohammed Barhouma and it held $28,779,848.26, another, under the name of Monsif Ben Mohammed al-Trabolsi, held $4,600, another under the same name held $99,000.”
Three accounts existed under the name of Mohammed Mrad bin Mohammed al-Trabolsi, one contained $50,000 the second $ 4,950, and the third euros 54,900.
Another account under his name and his wife, Hala, contained euro 16,800.
