March 8 Suspicious of Miqati: Govt. Formation Delay Like Syrian Siege on Lebanon

The March 8 camp may withdraw its confidence from Prime Minister-designate Najib Miqati because of its doubts over his ability to form a new government, reported al-Liwa newspaper on Monday.

It has been disappointed with his efforts and may set a deadline of next Wednesday to withdraw confidence from him regardless if such a step is constitutional or not, said the newspaper.

Damascus’ visitors have also been reported as saying that the delay in the government formation is a part of a “Syrian siege of Lebanon”.

Meanwhile, al-Liwa reported Miqati’s visitors as saying that he is “not convinced with a Free Patriotic Movement minister taking over the Telecommunications Ministry portfolio.”

He had demanded that he instead be handed the portfolio so that it may be under his supervision and that of a state minister affiliated with him, they revealed.

You going to get shit. This ministry is staying with the FPM whether you like it or not. WHat is your problem? Is your problem that the FPM works for the country and not for self interests? What is your problem or justification for not giving this ministry to the FPM? You have no feasable justification and either way they are all false. You have an expiry date so you better act responsibly.

@ SIMON ,
No matter what they try to do , GMA will have the share of the LION in the government , and NOTHING can be or will be done from now on , without his blessing and will .

well said simon, couldn't have put it better myself.

well sadly the fact of the matter is that these sunni leaders have such a history of turning any piece of land into a private business disregarding everything else.

clock is ticking for you mr.PM and syria is settling its problems, once the dust settles there will be a few slaps coming at some people's way.

enjoy

Gmoney - agree with you. I find it amazing how th appoint him then get annoyed because they're not getting as they please.. Where does aoun get all his money from? Wh is his son in law a minister - he wasn't been elected! A d the man himself wants to be president - the guy who kills innocent civilians then runs to France!
