إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية W460

Media reports have stated that the indictment in the murder case of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri includes the names of four suspects: Mustafa Badreddine, who is close to Hizbullah, Salim Ayyash, Hassan Aneissy, known as Hassan Issa, and Assad Sabra.

Born in 1963 in the southern town of Harouf, Ayysah is a Civil Defense volunteer and a member of Hizbullah.

Known as Abu Salim, he may hold an American citizenship.

According to the arrest warrant, he is responsible for the cell that executed Hariri’s assassination and he himself participated in the operation.

Badreddine, also known as Sami Issa, was born 1961.

He is a cousin and the brother-in-law of slain prominent Hizbullah official Imad Mughnieh.

He is a member of the Hizbullah’s Shura council and the head of its external operations.

He was arrested and imprisoned in Kuwait in 1983.

In 1990, he managed to escape prison and flee to Iran where the Revolutionary Guard returned him to Beirut.

According to the arrest warrant in the Hariri murder case, he is accused of planning and overseeing the execution of the assassination.

The name of Abdul Majid Ghamloush is not among the names if the suspects as had been previously reported.

A delegation from the Special Tribunal for Lebanon had visited General Prosecutor Saeed Mirza at the Justice Palace on Thursday in order to hand him the indictment.

Le Phenicien, you're just like these guys in Belgrade who said 10 years ago that Karadzic, Mladic and Milosevic were heroes of the serbian nation. The Serbian Nation is now at peace, close to enter EU and the heroes are dead or jailed. Let's rejoice for what happened today and hope that all criminals on lebanese soil will also be prosecuted, whatever their political affiliation.

You cannot escape international justice. How fake you claim is STL it is still an international court, hide in dahye until eternity! haha @ holding US citizenship. they all go to US where they make their money and benefits and come to Lebanon to be terrorists!

It doesn't matter what pictures they show. Nobody, I repeat: NOBODY has any sympathy for Mafioso Rafic, and most Lebanese never really cared or even liked him. He was the embodiment of filth. A million thanks to the killers for ridding us of the filthy low-life mafioso.

If those named are innocent, as they claim, then they should go to the Hague and defend themselves.. if they are guilty, it is about time justice is served in our country. Next in line Gea Gea. And the revoking of the amnesty granted to all those who commited crimes against humanity between 1975-1990. Oly then will we know peace.

Default-user-icon Adonis (Guest) 30 June 2011, 16:57

First of all, i condemn le phenicien for calling anyone who killed hariri a hero. Hariri was murdered because he refused to deal with resistance weapons. In the sectarian language, that is the only language that many here understand, he was more shia ally than sunni ally. In a normal language, he was lebanese patriot. And of course we know that this STL and this indictment is a CIA / MOSSAD work, and whoever believes it is an idiot.

Default-user-icon John Lennon (Guest) 30 June 2011, 16:59

Le fini what innocent generals no one said they were innocent, they were released because the STL's law could not keep them in jail but they still can be prosecuted. Under the Lebanese law Jamil el Sayyed rammed through Parliament they'd still be in jail.

@ The Patriot ,

What you say is disgusting ..

Sheikh Pierre is a big loss to all of us Lebanese , we all know who killed him !! ask Geagea or his friends the Palestinians of Naher el Bared and brothers of his allies of the Future ..

The 3 others , one of them is Palestinian and had a personal problem with Walid Jumblat regarding his very close relation with his " wife " !!

And the 2 others are alive NO ..!!??

What about the 4 innocent generals that are considered to be the real alive martyrs !! after spending 4 years of their lives in YOUR dirty political jails ..!?

In the past, some hezollah commanders and members turned out to be Israeli spies. Why is it a big surprise today that some other members turn out to also be traitors and assassins of Lebanese officials?
Hezobollah should deal with these new traitors the same way it dealt with its members turned pro-israeli spies. Hand the suspects to the state.

Le Fini I agree GMA will probably have to give up a Maronite seat to Habib Chartouni like he had to give up the Orthodox seat to Hardan. Talk about prostitute Aoun has gone against everything he once claimed to represent he sounds like Wiam Wahhab fifteen years ago. BTW didn't Geagea and Bashir fight the same enemy and Geagea and Aoun also fight the same enemy for longer periods yes I believe they did during Aoun's "liberation war" and during the Syrian occupation when their supporters used to be taken to jail by the magnificent Jamil Sayed together.

The people who said the court was political and full of deceit are now praising the killers, @ Umberto: no one liked Hariri? I guess the million plus people that protested on March 14 and forced the fall of the Karami government and the withdrawal of Syrian forces were imaginary. The only good thing that came of this crime was the Cedar Revolution, too bad some have betrayed it since for political gain. Justice is coming for the killers and the dictators.

Thumb erasmus16@gmail.com 30 June 2011, 20:43

Here's what's next:

Hizbollah will say that the people indicted are the same ones that the Hizb uncovered as being CIA agents. He will then put the blame on the CIA and the West.

Typical Arab dictator propaganda. This stopped working in most of the Arab World, but I bet it still works in Lebanon and Syria.

people are innocent until proven guilty. these 4 people are just suspects, and are indicted because enough proof accuse them. But until the court hasn t given their final verdict, they are innocent.

"media reports" ...It is interesting how everything is known way ahead of time by Israel and America and supplied to the "media". Does that mean Israel and America is behind the killing of Hariri? Maybe Yes, maybe no. I do not care. What happens next?

Well, soon after the Goldstone Report is completed and an invasion of Israel is made by the UN forces to arrest the terrorist Israeli leaders, there will be a UN force invading Lebanon looking for the 4 alleged defendants. The US will freeze the millions of dollars Hassan Nasrala has in Citibank. His son will not be allowed to come to America (and Canada) and see Justin Bieber in concert. In addition the Cannes film festival in France will ban any HA leader from entering. Good morning.

When there is no evidence, conspiracy theory appears. Moreover, the same piece of evidence can be used by different people to support very different accounts of events.

Is this the thank you party, BON VOYAGE for what have been accomplished?
“Jacques Chirac lines up for court appearance over corruption claims. Former French president to face questions over role in bogus jobs scandal while mayor of Paris in 1990s. A prison term is unlikely, but in theory Chirac risks 10 years in jail and a fine of €150,000” (March 2011)
Hariri father was the conflict resolution tool used by European orchestra to re-establish its mission in the region. He brought democratic principles, 2 party systems (opposition); he creates the myth of Future.
But unfortunate, those who brought him in power failed to stop him, and they had to leave the politics arena because of the same democratic values.

Nabil, you see Pierre said to only NUKE HA, not Lebanon. Mike, Sasi, and Pierre must believe that Israel has Nukes that not only kill Shiites only...but HA members. The fact that Mike, Sasi criticized you and not "pierre" shows how many Zionists read and score comments on the English Naharnet website (it is not many). You have to remember that Mubarek had a lot more support in Israel then he ever had in Egypt.
