The Internal Security Forces said Saturday that it arrested a robber after catching him red-handed at a house in Beirut, but his accomplice was still on the run.
An ISF Intelligence Branch patrol apprehended M.Q. while he was robbing the home in the Ramlet al-Bayda district, claiming he was a satellite dish worker.

According to NNA, 22-year-old Hanine Othman, a Saudi-Egyptian national pressed charges at Chmestar police station against unknown assailants after her husband Mohammed Saeed Ibrahim Mahmoud, 32, was abducted.

Justice Minister Ahsraf Rifi said on Saturday that the security stability in Lebanon would only be fruitful if local and foreign efforts were exerted.

Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Friday called for “domestic efforts” and dialogue to elect a new president instead of awaiting the outcome of any Saudi-Iranian talks, stressing that Hizbullah has never raised the issue of tripartite power-sharing between Christians, Sunnis and Shiites.
“We extremely regret recent remarks accusing our camp, especially the Shiite duo, of seeking tripartite power-sharing, and someone is trying to say that we want a presidential void because we want to reach tripartite power-sharing,” Nasrallah said in a televised speech commemorating late scholar Sheikh Mustafa Qassir al-Ameli.
