Unknown assailants opened fire in the northern city Tripoli at a Lebanese army Intelligence Adjutant without injuring him, the state-run National News Agency reported on Wednesday.
Adjutant A.M. was subject to gunfire in the area of al-Qobbeh, NNA added.

Internal Security forces carried out raids on the northeastern border town of al-Qasr and were able to free a Syrian girl who was kidnapped a few days ago.
Intelligence bureau of the ISF raided the border town in Hermel and were able to free Abir al-Jaour after four days in captivity, the state-run National News Agency said on Saturday.

Interior Minister Nouhad al-Mashnouq stressed on Saturday that the Lebanese government will provide the necessary security safety for the Saudi and Qatari ambassadors and their embassies in light of reports alleging that they could be targeted by attacks.
