Sunnis are not persecuted in Iran, what are you talking about? Sunnism, as well as Judaism, Christianity amongst others are recognized and free to practice their faith.
How about you cut down on random negative statements, and maybe start cleaning in front of your own door? Iran is a million times more tolerant and civilized than Saudi.

he could not back down on syria before the elections, this would have been a major setback, despite russia's intense pressure on the subject, and despite the fact that after billions spent and 2 years into the syrian war, no progress has been made and assad is still very solidly in place. so they're going to give up
